1 lb Ground Meat; Beef, Pork or Turkey
1 Egg Beaten
1/4 C bread crumbs
1/2 grated Romano or Parmesan Cheese
3 Cloves of Garlic finely minced
2 Tb.dried parsley
2 Tb. Tomato Sauce
2 tsp fresh Lard (family favorite) or you can use your favorite oil for frying.
Combine all of the ingredients, except the oil. Shape into balls. Heat the oil in a large cast iron frying pan and fry till they are browned on all sides. Add to simmering sauce, or serve as is.
Prep time is about 15 minutes
Cooking time is about 8 or so.
Yield... well that really depends on the size you make. My husband likes his larger then golf balls and we get about 18.
